Dear God,
On this day we are confused.
Why would you wish for someone so precious to our lives go?
Why, so young and delicate, be asked to leave our worlds?
Why, someone so innocent, have not be given a chance to touch people's hearts?
Why God? Should we not be angry at the decision you have made?
Why put us through such turmoil to feel such emotion for a brief period time? And take him away.
He was there to make us smile Lord, make us laugh, gave us a new dimension of love to our lives.
Please, give me a chance to wipe my tears.
We're sorry Lord.
We're sorry for being angry at the Lord that loves us most.
We're sorry for being selfish enough to think this sis something other than good for a great cause.
Lord, you have been Lord since the beginning of time, who are we to question your actions?
Thank you Lord for blessing us with a jewel of your making, even for a short time.
Thank you for looking over such a beautiful child.
Thank you for protecting all of your children.
Thank you Lord.
Amen.
Lies. All Lies.
Tips for Telling Better Stories
My one friend from Toastmasters sent me this link and it proved helpful. However, the 5th tip talked about always telling the truth. Mark Twain once said that "A lie can get halfway around the world before the truth can even get its boots on.” Does this make lying a bad way of being remembered? Or is it the message that shouldn't be a lie and everything else doesn't matter? Am I missing something in this statement? I'll tell you an experience of mine that may bring some controversy after awhile.

Value in Stories
Each story told has value.
I never really understood the value in stories until I noticed myself telling other people's stories. Then, from that day forward, I began hearing other individuals' stories everywhere. One of my friends, and hopefully co-author of this blog, once said that even talking about something invaluable is valuable if you share it with someone else! The truth is storytelling has been around since the age of man and has not stopped being a topic of wide interest and growth to the present day (e.g. the book Made to Stick).
Today people tell their own stories every day. They post their Status on Facebook, Away Messages on AIM, and blogs like these help them tell a story about their own lives. The next level is to add value through your stories to someone else life. Give people a reason to talk to you and listen. Give them a structured, or not-so-structured, environment that they can learn or create ideas in!
In this blog, I will start or tell a short story and give some sort of "value" to it. Please, I will never throw out anyone's comments as long as they are not racist or sexist, find something in the stories and relate, bash, love, expand upon... do whatever you have to do to them to add more value! The more feedback you give, the more you care and others will understand you and themselves. Just remember, this is the web, and no one is going to read lines and lines of story (unless you get creative). So go ahead, expand your life.
